ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (A IOU) has invited applications for children between the ages of six and 19 to register for a `French Language Summer Camp`.
The summer camp will teach interested students the basics of French, andis open to children living in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The nnal date for registration is July 15, and classes will begin on July 18. Some of the camp activities include games, drawing, painting, plays, cooking and singing, all as ways to teach students the French language.
According to Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui, the camp was arranged in order to engage children in l He said foreign languages is an important area, and the university wishes to provide children with the opportunity to learn a language already taught through its regular academic programme.
Admission forms for the camp are available at the university`s Department of French at its main Islamabad campus. The registration fee is Rs5,000, and there is a 50pc fee concession for children of university employees. A Reporter
