KARACHI: The Sindh government on the request of police authorities has imposed a ban on pillion riding all over the province on the 21st of Ramazan on account of Yaum-i-Ali.

A notification issued by home secretary Qazi Shahid Pervez stated that both the additional IG Karachi and the DIG Hyderabad in their respective letters observed that intensive religious activities such as Majalis and processions will be held on Yaum-i-Ali, therefore, to counter security threat a ban on pillion riding should be imposed.
