KARACHl: A woman was killed and her husband and minor son were injured when a fast-moving car hit their motorbike in Defence Housing Authority on Sunday, police said.
Sahil SHO Farooq Ahmed Sanjrani said that the victims were riding the bike when the recklessly driven I car hit them on Khayaban-iZulfiqar, PhaseVlll.As a result, Meraj Bibi, 38, was killed, while her husband Umair Qadir, 40, and son, Mohammed Aun, 7, were injured, he added.
The officer said the condition of the injured was out of danger. He added that the driver responsible for the fatal accident was identified as Ozain Saeed, a resident of DHA, Phase-II.
He was arrested and the car was seized. A bottle of liquor was recovered from his car, he added.
The officer said it would be ascertained after a medical test whether the driver was under the influence of any contraband.
