Actor Al Pacino, 86, will receive the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, the union’s highest honour, at the 33rd annual Actor Awards on February 28 in Los Angeles.
The ceremony will stream live on Netflix.
Known for The God father trilogy and many other films, Pacino is the 62nd recipient of the award. He won his only Oscar for Scent of a Woman in 1993 and has received nine Academy Award nominations.
The award also recognises humanitarian work. Pacino was honoured for supporting disaster relief, fighting hunger and poverty, and helping local theatre companies.
