LAHORE: ChiefMinister ShahbazSharif`sson-in-lawImran Ali Yousaf on Monday again skipped appearance before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Punjab Power Development Company (PPDC) corruption scam.
`Mr Yousuf again skipped NAB appearance that may result in his arrest because of non-compliance of its (NAB) order,` an official said, adding the chief minister`s son-in-law had so far skipped four appearances and turned up just once.
`The NAB summoned Mr Yousaf with regard to a transaction of Rs120million deposited with his bank account from the account of the PPDC,` he said. He said a lawyer representing Yousaf appeared before a combined investigation team of the NAB, Lahore, and provided some documentary details.
Yousaf is accused of receiving millions of rupees from PPDC`s former chief executive officer Ikram Naveed and possessing assets beyond his known sources of income.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has already carried out a probe against Naveed and Yousaf in 2016. It declared Naveed guilty of embezzling Rs450million but gave a `clean chit` to Yousaf. Staff Reporter
