LAHORE: Two young workers were electrocuted while removing flex banners from electricity poles in Samanabad on Tuesday.

Initial police reports suggested that Imran and Haroon climbed up the electricity pole near Samanabad Mor without protective kits to remove flexes. Both suffered burns when they accidentally touched wires, police quoted residents as having said.

Police said the two persons were shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
