BADIN: The second additional sessions judge of Badin, Abdul Wahhab Tunio, on Monday sentenced to life imprisonment four rapists and fined them Rs20,000 each after they were found guilty of kidnapping a woman and subjecting her to gang-rape in Hassan Shah village near Kario Ghanwar town in 2017.

The convicts identified as Ali Dino Parhiar, Abdul Aziz Parhiar, M. Juman and Khaliq Dino Parhiar were nominated in an FIR lodged against them by the brother of the victim.

The verdict was passed in the light of various medical reports of the victim. The convicts were later sent to Hyderabad central jail to serve their terms.

In another case, the judge sentenced four persons, including a woman, to seven years` imprisonment each for running a brothel and a drug den in Nau Wah village near Kario Ghanwar town.

The convicts identified as Fateh Chandio, Nasim Mallah, Jumoon Kolhi and a woman were also fined Rs20,000 each.

The convicts were later sent to Hyderabad central jail to serve their sentence.
