KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqi has said the Karachiites will soon witness a positive change in the water supply and transport sectors due to a number of measures the local administration has initiated.

He was addressing the 45th foundation day ceremony of Pakistan Herald Workers` Union and oath taking ceremony of the union on Tuesday evening.

He said the government was well aware of the problem being faced by the Karachiites and in recent days best possible solutions had been sorted out.

`It`s fair to comment and criticise on recent civic facilities,` he said. `But let me assure you that whether it`s transportation facility or supply of clean water, we have been working on several projects at a time that would start delivering results very soon.

The ceremony was also addressed by union`s general secretary Shafiuddin Ashraf and Hameed Haroon, CEO of the Dawn Media Group.
