OKARA: A man and his son were shot dead on Tuesday morning over an old enmity by rivals while on their way to the Dipalpur courts from Haveli Lakha.

According to police sources, Naeem Khan with his son Saqib Javid was to appear in the court in a murder case when they were intercepted by armed motorcyclists near Model Town who shot them dead and fled.

Raja and his father were on bail inthe murder case registered with the Haveli Lakl(ha police.

The police arrested Azmat, alleged killer. Hs brother was allegedly murdered by Raja Khan with others in year 2019.

Dipalpur City Station House Officer Chaudhry Sarwar with police team rushed to the crime scene where constable Mazhar Khan courageously nabbed Azmat when he was fleeing with two accomplices.

The police shifted bodies to the Okara Tehsil Headquarters Hospitalfor postpartum.

BEDS: The district health authority has marked 37 beds in different hospitals, including the Ol(ara District Headquarters City Hospital and some basic and rural health units, to house coronavirus suspects.

As per special instruction by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Deputy Commissioner Usman Ali and health authority head Dr Abdul Majeed have set up isolation rooms and critical care units for coronavirus suspects.
