By Our Staff ReporterLAHORE: A man was allegedly shot dead while two others were injured after some armed men opened Ere on theircarin Shahdara on Tuesday.

Haneef, 40, was coming from Nankana Sahib along with his two friends by a car to appear in court in Lahore. Near Saggian bridge, the gunmen riding two motorcycles sprayed a volley of bullets and fled the scene leaving all the car riders seriously wounded.

Some onlookers alerted the police and Rescue 1122 who rushed the injured to a local hospital where H aneef breathed his last.

A police official said Haneef might have been shot dead for enmity. Hesaid the family of the deceased was not able to give any clue about the identity of the alleged killers.

However, there were potential chances that he was murdered by his rivals who were in litigation with him.

The body was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy. The police registered a case.
