Police take control of seminary after seven hurt in clash

KA RACHI: Police on Saturday night got control of a seminary and mosque in the Korangi area of Karachi after a clash between two groups left seven people injured, officials said.
`Police took control of both seminary and mosque to prevent the situation from deteriorating after the clash,` said Karachi East Zone DIG Amir Faroogi.
The officer said that seminary was controlled by one group while the mosque`s management was with the other group. The two groups often fought each other over `donations, water and plucking coconut from a coconut tree, etc`.
However, on Saturday night, simmering dispute took an ugly turn and seven persons got injured during the clash.
Meanwhile, Sindh IGP Dr Syed Kaleem Imam took notice of the incident and sought a detailed inquiry report from Korangi SSP, said a police spokesperson.-Staff Reporter
