The driver of the train, Hazara Express (down), and the watchman of the railway crossing are in police custody.

The protest demonstration was organised by the families of the victims -Danish, Rizwan, Fahar and Maryam.

The families of the deceased children said they were the actual victims of the tragedy but the PR had ignored them while filing the case FIR which was not acceptable to them.
