TAXILA: The Child Protection Bureau (CPB), with the assistance of police, foiled a bid to sell an infant and arrested both the alleged seller and buyer in Attock on Monday.

Child Protection Officer Sana Kanwal told newsmen that the bureau was informed that Hasan Siddig, a native of Mansehra, was allegedly selling his fourmonth-old son to Mulazim Hussain for Rs150,000.

She said a team led by district coordinator and assisted by police, raided the house where the deal was being finalised.

Subsequently, police arrested the seller and buyer and recovered the infant who was handed over to the CPB. Correspondent
