MANSEHRA: A man and his teenage son drowned in a stream in the Kundar Hassanzai Baio area of Torghar district on Saturday, residents said.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Azhar and his 13-year-old son, Mohammad Yasin.
Residents fished out the bodies.
The family told reporters that Azhar was taking his son home on leave from a seminary, and on the way, they decided to take a bath in a stream to beat the heat.
Yasin slipped into deep waters and drowned.
His father also jumped into the water to rescue him, but he also drowned.
Meanwhile, a ferry sailor, Malik Arshad, who belonged to Haripur district, was injured after an explosion in the boat’s engine in the Darband area here.
He was rushed to a hospital in Darband, where doctors pronounced him dead. Correspondent
