Chinese acrobats spellbind audience at UAF

FAISALABAD: Chinese acrobats on Wednesday night enthralled the audience during a cultural show at the hall of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

The event was organised by the Confucius Institute, the Chinese Cultural Centre, set up at UAF in collaboration with the Xinjiang Agricultural University (XAU), China.

At the packed hall of the UAF, participants lauded the performers who entertained people through songs, dances and music.

Chinese Cultural Counsellor, Islamabad, Zheng Guojin talking to participants said education and culture were the most important factors to bring about a change in the world.

Prof Dr Yang Zhijiang, dean of Confucius Centre, said: `Our friendship is deeper than the sea, higher than Himalayas and sweeter than honey and people of both countries have close heartiest feelings for each other.

He said cultural events bring the people of both countries closer and strengthen ties. He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor would bring about prosperity in the region.

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad said economic corridor would transform the dimension of bilateral ties. The cooperation under the CPECin energy, transport and infrastructure projects would transform Pakistan`s economy.

He said cultural exchanges were vital to learn from each other experiences.
