VC TAKES CHARGE: The Kohat University of Science and Technology finally got a permanent vice-chancellor after three long years as Dr Jameel Ahmed took its charge for a three-year term.
KUST spokesman Zeeshan Bangash said in a press statement on Tuesday that Dr Ahmed was a competent educationist who had to his credit 105 international research papers. Similarly, he had also served as vice-chancellor of the Iqra University, Peshawar, Abaseen University, Islamabad, and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute.
He hoped that the uncertainty marring the functioning of KUST due to agitations by the employees for their upgradation and students for the solution of their problems would be resolved now. He said that KUST had been singled out where employees from grade-1 to grade-16 were being denied upgradation from 2014 like other institutions. Correspondent
