Madadgar 15 centre opened in Sobatpur

DERA MURAD JAMALI: The Deputy Inspector General of Police for Nasirabad region, Sharjeel Karim Kharal, inaugurated a centre of Police Madadgar 15 in Sobatpur district on Thursday.
The Madadgar centre in Sobatpur would coordinate with eight police stations of the district and would have link with Wapda, Sui Gas Company, Fire brigade and the office of the deputy commissioner.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Kharal said that the Madadgar centre had been established in Sobatpur to facilitate the people of the area and to keep an eye on criminals` activities.
He said eight motorcycles, a vehicle, wireless system and other facilities would be provided to the centre.
Deputy Commissioner of Sobatpur Zainulabidin Ansari, DPO Khadim Hussain and other officials were present on the occasion.
Mr Kharal said with the establishment of the Madadgar centre in Sobatpur crime would be checked in the district that would help in restoring peace and order in the area.
He said it was responsibility of police to serve the peace-loving people and keep an eye on criminals` activities.
He said he had suspended the SHO of Baba Kot police station and three other policemen and kept them in lock-up for committing negligence during duty. Two suspects arrested for theft and other crimes had escaped from the Baba Kot police station of Tambo tehsil due to negligence of these policemen two days ago, he added.
He said the SHO Baba Kot had been issued charge-sheet and further inquiry in the case was under way.
Meanwhile, DIG Kharal visited the district police station in Sobatpur where the district police officer briefed him on the law and order situation.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIG urged media personnel to play their due role in identifying the problems of the people and crimes in the society.
He appreciated the role of local journalists in pointing out problems being faced by the people of the area.
