KOHAT, June 16: Two people, including a close aide of provincial Food Minister Syed Q albe Hassan, were killed in Jungle Khel area in separate incidents on Saturday.

Naushad, a friend of the food minister, was visiting his under-construction house along with his brother when a man identified as Rehmat alias Kakoo opened fire on them, killing Naushad alias Noshay instantly.

Irshad, brother of the victim, told Junglekhel police station that they had an enmity with the accused.

In another incident, a resident of Muslimabad, who had come to take bath in a spring in the city, was killed by unknown people. The victim was stated to be 18 years old. The Junglekhel police station registered the case.

Meanwhile, four members of a family, including two women, fell unconscious while working in a well in Dhoda area on the outskirts of Kohat on Saturday.

Local people said the family members were working inside the well when it wasfilled with some poisonous gas.

They were identified as Juma Khan, his son Gulbat Khan, daughters Arifa Bibi and Reshman Bibi.

The locals pulled them from the well and rushed them to the hospital where doctors said that they were in stable condition.
