ISLAMABAD: The parliamentary panel on judges` appointments confirmed the services of three additional judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Parliament House with Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour in the chair. Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts, including Senator Raja M. Zafarul Haq, Senator Farooq H. Naek, MNA Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, MNA Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Senate Secretary Amjed Pervez, attended the meeting.
The committee discussed recommendations made by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan for the confirmation of the Sindh High Court`s judges at its June 12 meeting.
The parliamentary committee endorsed the recommendations and confirmed the nomination of Justice Rasheed Ahmed Soomro, Justice Arshad Hussain Khan and Justice Muhammad Saleem Jessar as judges of the Sindh High Court.
