DERA ISMAIL KH AN: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man for killing his sister in the name of honour two days ago.
According to police, Niazullah had shot dead his 15-year-old sister in Bilalabad area just a day before her scheduled wedding ceremony. After the crime, he managed to escape. The case of the incident was registered in Cantt police station.
Police on Sunday arrested Niazullah and recovered a 30-bore pistol from his possession that was used in the crime.
Police also claimed to have resoled a robbery case and arrested an accused recovering Rs670,000 stolen cash from him in the limits of City police station.
A police spokesman said that three unidentified motorcyclists had snatched Rs2.5 million from Rizwan in city area.
He said that police arrested one of the robbers identified as Sher Nawaz, a resident of Lakki Marwat, with the help of modern technology and scientific methods.
He said that Rs670,000 looted money was recovered from the arrested man.
SDPO Mohammad Adnan said that the remaining two robbers would also be arrested soon.
Meanwhile, Paroa police arrested a man identified as Hayatullah. Police also recovered a stolen motorcycle, Rs95,000 cash and a wallet containing CNIC and student card from him. He was wanted by police in several cases of theft.
