PESHAWAR: A local court on Saturday sent a man and his son, arrested on attempted murder charges, to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
On Friday, East Cantonment police station had arrested Imran Khan and his teenage son, Abdullah, after a video emerged in which they were shown pointing guns at a local resident and fired shots. The brawl recorded by a private TV channel went viral on media, forcing the police to arrest the man.
Both the accused were presented before magistrate Azam Khan, who sent them to jail on 14 days judicial remand.
The police had registered an FIR against the father and his son under sections 324, 415, 419 and 420 of PPC and section 15 of the arms act. Police also recovered a car used by the accused, a pistol and a rifle. — Bureau Report
