PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday arrested a militant and recovered two explosive devices from his possession.
A statement issued here identified the terrorist as Sher Rehman, who was arrested from the Achini Cross on Ring Road.
It said that the accused was arrested on a tip-off from an intelligence agency.
The CTD statement said the outlaw was in possession of two explosive devices each weighing around 500 gram, and was planning to target police personnel.
The CTD said the culprit was also wanted on charges of extortion and targeted killing.
Meanwhile, one person was killed and five were injured when two groups clashed over a property dispute in Ghari Atta Muhammad area here on Monday. Police identified the dead as Dost Mohammad and registered an FIR.-Bureau Report
