An institution to be named after Khanzada

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced naming of an institution after slain home minister of Punjab retired Col Shuja Khanzada.

The announcement came at a Quran Khwani ceremony held for the slain minister in Model Town here on Wednesday.

Paying rich tributes to Khanzada, the chief minister asked the cabinet committee to submit final proposals regarding attributing one of the provincial institutions to the brave minister who laid his life while fighting against terrorism.

Provincial ministers Rana Sanaullah, Tanvir Aslam Malik, Iqbal Channer, Zakia Shahnawaz, Nadeem Kamran, Haroon Sultan and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, parliamentary secretary Rana Muhammad Arshad, special assistant Rana Maqbool, chief secretary, inspector-general of police, senior member Board of Revenue, home secretary and senior officials attended the Quran Khawani.

Meanwhile, on the direction of the chief minister Quran khawani and dua was offered for Khanzada and other victims of Attock blast after Asr prayers throughout Punjab.
