QUETTA: Two suspected militants of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (T TP) were picked up during an operation jointly conducted by security forces and intelligence personnel in Zhob on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Frontier Corps (FC) said the search operation had been carried out on a tip-off about the presence of TTP `militants` on the outskirts of Zhob town.

He said arms and ammunition were seized on the suspects. Initial investigation suggested that they were involved in kidnapping people for ransom and attacking security forces.
