WE as a nation do not understand the importance of forest in our country. As a result, the country has suffered huge losses owing to avalanches, floods and landslides.

Forest are much needed because forest and woodlands filter the water and air we breathe. Enhanced forestation will curb pollution and arrest the emission of greenhouse gases.
