LAHORE: The Jammu Kashmir Muhajirin Council on Sunday strongly rejected the Joint Awami Committee, describing it as a group with no political or legal standing, and reaffirmed its support for Pakistan and its armed forces.
Speaking at a press conference, Council representatives Dr Saeed Elahi and several Kashmiri leaders, said the committee represented only a small segment of people and was working againstthe interests of Pakistani Kashmiris.
They alleged that the group was pushing an agenda aimed at creating unrest and division.
The council emphasized that Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one nation and expressed unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces, particularly for their role in safeguarding the borders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers said Kashmiri migrants stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan and remain committed to national unity and stability.
