MOHMAND: A man and his two sons were killed and two others injured when rival groups traded fire over the ownership of a marble mine in Shna Trayi area of Prang Ghar tehsil here on Sunday.

Police and locals said a dispute had long been going on between Nawab Khan and Mohammad Shah over the ownership of a marble mine. On Sunday morning, members of the groups resorted to firing after an altercation.

As a result, Nawab Khan and his two sons, identified as Emad Khan and Habeel Khan, were killed on the spot, while two others from Mohammad Shah group were injured.

The suspects managed to flee after the incident.

The bodies and the injured were brought to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Prang Ghar, wherefrom the injured were shifted to a Peshawar hospital in critical condition.

The police registered case and started further investigations. Correspondent
