SUKKUR: A big fire caused by flames from a wooden stove in a house in Pir Bakhsh Malik village near Khanpur Mahar town of Ghotki district on Tuesday destroyed six houses and reduced all household articles and other valuables oftheir occupants to ashes.

Haji Karim Bakhsh Malik, Nooruddin Malik, Khalid Hussain Malik and others told local reporters that the flames emanating from one house spread swiftly and engulfed five adjacent houses. They said they immediately informed the nearest fire station but fire engines arrived late because the facility was located far away from the village.-Correspondent
