MITHl: Pakistan Peoples Party lawmakers from Tharparkar along with senior party colleagues finalised arrangements for what they called `a tumultuous reception to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and a mammoth public meeting to be addressed by him on Wednesday` in Islamkot.
They said that the party chief was arriving here on a two-day visit during which he, besides addressing the public meeting in Islamkot, would inaugurate the Indus Hospital building and visit Thar coal mining fields.
MNA Mahesh Kumar Malani, MPAs Qasim Siraj Soomro and Fakeer Sher Mohammad Bilalani, Veerji Kolhi, Shushil Malani, Nand Lal Malhi and other PPP leaders told this reporter on Tuesday that the all arrangements for the programme had been completed to facilitate the arrival and stay of thousands of party workers and supporters coming from across Tharparkar and other districts. `Suitable seating arrangement for thousands of participants has been made at the venue of the public meeting,` they said, adding that the stage had been completed and foolproof security for the leaders, guests and rally participants had been ensured.
In reply to a question, they said the PPP chairman was expected to kick off a `decisive movement` against the PTI-led federal government from Islamkot.
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is scheduled to inaugurate the Indus Hospital building, constructed by the Thar Foundation, and visit the mining site of the Thar coal project`s Block-l near Islamkot.
`The party chairman will then proceed to Mithi where he would stay at Malani House, meet local party leaders, workers and journalists. On Thursday, he will inaugurate the NED campus established at the Benazir Bhutto Cultural Complex in Mithi,` the PPP lawmakers said.
