QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah has sought a list of non-cadre officers from all provincial government departments and autonomous corporations by Nov 29 so that they could be sent to their original departments.

Mr Chattah issued the directive after a petition requesting that the noncadre ofñcers not be assigned back to their original departments was rejected by the Balochistan High Court. The court ordered that all ofhcers on deputation should repatriate to their parent departments, adding that if the order was not implemented within four weeks it would take action against the chief secretary.

According to sources, over 100 ex-cadre government officers are working on cadre posts in different departments.

`At least eight sitting deputy commissioners and a large number of senior officers working in various sections would return to their parent departments,` a senior officer of the Balochistan government told Dawn.
