ISLAMABAD: The management of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has suspended the services of two audit officers of Land Directorate for misconduct and negligence, says a press release issued by CDA on Monday.
The management took this action for issuing post-dated cheques to the landholders of H-16 and I-17 sectors, but the cheques could not be processed as the CDA accounts have insufficient funds.
According to rules, the landholders are entitled to be compensated for their land with cash or plots.
The press release said that complaints regarding handing over of cheques to third party were also received against the audit officers.
The statement said that an Inquiry Committee comprising senior officers had been constituted which would thoroughly investigate the matter and submit its findings for further action against the officers. A Reporter
