CHARSADDA: A woman and her young daughter were allegedly shot dead after armed men barged into their house in the Arat Kanday area of Shabgadar tehsil on Wednesday, police said.
The alleged attackers, identified in the FIR as brothers, fled the scene after the incident, according to the police. According to the report lodged by Noor Mohammad, a resident of Attock Korona, he received information that his wife and daugh-ter had been shot inside their house.
The complainant said he rushed to the house after receiving the information and found both women lying in a pool of blood. He informed the police that Aftab, Mujahid and Kashif, sons of Wakeel and residents of Arat Kanday, had allegedly entered the house and opened fire on the two women.
The complainant suspected that the incident was linked to a previous enmity, according to the FIR.
Police registered a murder case against the nominated suspects and launched an investigation.
