PESHAWAR, Nov 24: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) cut off several power connections in different localities on Sunday over non-payment of outstanding dues and illegal use.

Pesco Khyber division teams severed power supply to a house owned by Amir Hussein at Mattani Akakhel Road area due to non-payment of about Rs0.6 million. Similarly, power supply was disconnected to house owned by Shah Baz in Tela Band area oiver non-payment of Rs1 million.

A statement issued here said power supply had also been disconnected to Shalghanabad and Pattan bazaar of Hazara circle in this regard.

Pesco Qissa Khwani subdivision teams arrested an accused, Ashig Thamas for taking direct hook from main line.

Also in Mardan circle, Pesco teams nabbed dozens of power thieves and booked them in concerned police stations.Bureau Report
