PTI marks Quaid Day, Christmas with simplicity

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreelei-Insaf (PTI), Punjab, observed on Thursday Quaid-iAzam`s 138th birthday with prayer ceremonies in Punjab district headquarters.

PTI activists offered prayers for the children and teachers killed in a terrorist attack at the Army Public School, Peshawar, and for the well being of Pakistan.

At party provincial secretarlat, PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry and general-secretary Dr Yasmin Rashid addressed the participants.

Mr Chaudhry said Pakistan`s prosperity and solidarity was linked to following the guidelines of the Quaid-i-Azam. He said the PTI would transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state.

Pakistanis have been sacrificing their lives since the creation of Pakistan but their blood would not go waste, he said.

CHRISTMAS: PTPs minority wings celebrated Christmas across the province with simplicity in respect for thePeshawar school children.

The wings also organised ceremonies to offer prayers for the attack victims.

PTI Punjab minority wing president Shunila Roth participated in ceremonies at Bahar Colony and Kot Lakhpat. She said Christians were grieved with the bereaved families and express solidarity with them.

POLICEMEN: Mr Chaudhry expressed concern over the removal of retired army men from the police, saying the Punjab government was treating police officials unfairly.

He said the PTI supported the demands of retired army men and demanded renewal of their contracts.

ALEEM: PTI Lahore president Abdul Aleem Khan said the Quaid-i-Azam had dedicated his life for the creation of an Islamic welfare state.
