A briefing was given by the State Bank (SBP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SECP) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). During the briefing, theFBR chief was asked by Dr Nafisa Shah if Maryam Nawaz was a tax filer.
FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan said the information could not be revealed because the matter was sub judice, but Dr Shah remained firm and asked which laws stopped the National Assembly from discussing matters that were in the court.
Finally, the FBR chief told Dr Shah that the information would be provided to her later.
