`Three kidnappers arrested, victim recovered`

PESH WA R: The capital city police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three kidnappers and recovered an abducted person from their captivity.
Addressing a press conference, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hayatabad, Atig Shah said a complainant, Yousaf of Jamrud Road, Peshawar, had on May 21 lodged a report with the Hayatabad police about kidnapping of his brother, Khizar Hayat.
Yousaf told police that Khizar Hayat, who drove a cab, was hired by four persons for Lahore on April 2.Later,hesaidtheaccusedSadiqShah,Mohammad Shah and others abducted Hayat, and demanded Rs1.6 million ransom.
The DSP said police following thorough investigations arrested Syed Ahmed Shah, Syed Idress Shah and Burhanuddin, residents of Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency at Karkhano checkpost and recovered the kidnapped man from them.
He said the accused were shifting Khizar to Khyber Agency, adding that police would soon arrest their other accomplices.
Separately, Gulbahar police also claimed to have arrested two members of a car lif ter gang and recovered two stolen cars and two bikes from them.
ASP Gulbahar Malik Imran Ahmed told reporters that police raided a hideout in Choha Gujar area of Peshawar city and arrested two alleged car thieves identified as Mohammad Rehman and Mohmmad Asif, and recovered two cars and two motorcycles from them.
