PESHAWAR: Taking strong notice of the public complaints with regard to unannounced and prolonged power outages in the province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has asked the Pesco authorities to take urgent measures to ease the situation.

The governor especially called in the Pesco chief executive officer Engr Shabir Ahmad Gilani at the Governor House on Friday to discuss the issues pertaining to power outages.

According to a statement, the governor asked the Pesco chief to strictly follow the instructions of the prime minister and ensure implementation of electricity load management schedule in a reasonable and effective way.

Similarly, the governor said the areas where recovery problems did not exist required special attention and priority.
