QUETTA: The bullet-riddled body of a woman belonging to the Hazara community was found in the Hazara Town area on Wednesday.

Police said they were informed about the presence of a body by people in the area. The body was taken into custody by the police and shifted to Bolan Medical College Hospital.

According to sources at the hospital, there were multiple bullet wounds on the body. `Bullet wounds were found on the upper part of the body,` said a senior police officer quoting doctors who carried out the autopsy.

Police said that assailants dumped her body in Hazara Town after killing her.

The deceased was later identiñed as Sadiga, daughter of Qurban Ali. The family said that they did not have enmity with anyone.

Further investigation is under way.
