UN urged to stop India`s atrocities in held Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly urged the United Nations and all countries of the world to take cognisance of India`s unprovoked ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary and unrelenting oppression and killings in held Kashmir.
`This august house calls upon the United Nations, European Union, OIC and all civilised nations of the world to persuade India to stop bloodletting on both sides of the divide in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir, for its serious repercussions for global peace,` said the AJK legislature in a unanimously-adopted joint resolution.
The house pointed out that while India had let loose state terrorism in held Kashmir ithad also been shelling civilian populations in AJK without pause.
Earlier, Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Law Minister Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan, Information Minister Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas, Forests Minister Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Revenue Minister Sardar Farooq Sikandar, PML-N lawmakers Asad Aleem Shah, Dr Mustafa Bashir, Syed Shaukat Ali Shah, Chaudhry Javed Alchtar, Chaudhry Shahzad Mahmood, Yasin Gulshan, Waqar Noor, Syed Ali Raza Shah Bukhari, Raja Naseer Ahmed, Raja Abdul Qayyum, Jamaat-i-Islami lawmakers Abdul Rashid Turabi and Riffat Aziz, JKPP lawmaker Sardar Khalid Ibrahim, PTI lawmaker Abdul Majid Khan, Muslim Conference lawmaker Malick Nawaz, and PPP lawmaker and Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin expressed their views on the issue.
