ISLAMABAD: The Rabiul-Awwal moon has been sighted and Thursday will be the first day of the new month. Likewise, Eid Miladun Nabi will be celebrated on Dec 12 (Monday).

This was announced by chairman of the central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneebur Rehman, after a meeting held at the building of the ministry of religious affairs.

The meeting, held with Mufti Muneeb in the chair, was attended by Maulana Zamir Ahmed Sajid, Maulana Ziaullah Khan, Maulana Ahmed Hassan, Maulana Mohammad Ashfaq and Allama Sajjad Hussain Naqvi.
