DC pays surprise visit to two schools

RAWALPINDI: District administration on Friday aske d District E ducation Authority to ensure the security and quality of education at government run schools.

Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa paid a surprise visit to two schools, Government Islamia High School No.4 and Government Islamia High School No.1, and showed concern over lack of cleanliness and security arrangements.

He directed the school administration to display artwork of students in classrooms and corridors. Students should be encouraged to write on white boards, he said.

He also asked the administration to pay attention to cleanliness of school, grounds and labs. Students` uniform must be neat and clean and teachers must observe proper dress code with their name tags.

He told the school administration to ensure teacher maintain their diaries regularly as per Taleemi Calendar.

Students should be assigned homework on their diaries, and their homework should be checked on daily basis.

He said that the security measures must be taken and security guards must remain present at the gate with uniform and arm as well.

He said the administration should also focus on the school beautification and prioritise quality education.
