SHEIKHUPURA: Ferozewala police arrested a woman drugtrafficker and seized 2.5kg heroin from her on Friday.

Following a tip-off, police raided Balkhey village and caught Shahida Perveen red-handed when she was leaving for Lahore to handover the drug to a supplier, the police said.The police claimed she was a notorious drug peddler and wanted for a long time. Police started an investigation.

LIQUOR: Factory Area police unearthed a distillery located in Shargpur Khurd and seized 250 bottles of liquor manufactured in the name of a foreign brand.

Arif Masih, Rehmat Masih, Gulzar Masih and an unidentified man were taken into custody.

The police also seized raw material and equipments used in preparing the liquor from the site.

NANKANA: A 20-year-old boy died after being run over by a train near Nankana railway station on Friday.

Adeel was crossing the railway track when a Jaranwala-bound train hit him. According to police, he could not listen to the train coming close as he had earphones on.
