The police registered a case on the complaint of Laal Zada, uncle of Azam, against two accused, Saifullah and his father, Ihsanullah.
Meanwhile, the Mutahidda shopkeepers` federation expressed concern over frequent firing incidents and killings in the main bazaar.
A traders` leader, Hakeemullah Fauji, said incidents of firing and sabotage had grown due to the nonavailability of police personnel in the bazaar.
He said increasing lawlessness had badly affected business activities in the Charsadda bazaar and demanded of the local administration to depute more police personnel in the market to avert such incidents in future.
