IT is good to hear that even if, belatedly, the Supreme Court has finally punished PML-N (ex) Senator Nehal Hashmi.
My first reaction was that perhaps the sentence is too mild in view of the fact that Hashmi`s outbursts went far beyond the `contempt of court` and fell into the category of criminal threats to joint investigation team (JIT) members and their family.
These were not just empty threats. The Model Town carnage and other incidents clearly show that PML-N deals ruthlessly with those who come in its way.
Now that the accountability process has started in earnest and now Talal Chaudhry has also been summoned, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah and others committing similar offence should also be suitably punished, while the real masterminds, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, should be given an exemplary punishment.
S. Riaz Karachi (2) I AM happy to see our journey towards good change through supreme judiciary.
We may not need a public revolution if the journey continues.
