LAKKI MARWAT: A man was killed and three others were wounded in a firing incident at a musical concert in Bachkan Ahmadzai village here late on Saturday night.

Police said that the incident took place in the limits of Tajori police station. They said the villagers and people from adjacent localities had gathered to participate in the musical concert organised by a group of local youth.

However, a man named Insafullah came there and opened indiscriminate fire on the participants, said the police quoting an injured Abdul Wahab as saying.

They said that the shots caused panic among the participants and they ran for cover.

As a result of the fire, a villager named Azmatullah was killed instantly while three others, Abdul Wahab, Gul Zarin and Navedullah, sustained injuries, they maintained, saying that the body and wounded men were shifted to a hospital in Tajori town.

An injured Abdul Wahab told police that they had stopped the attacker from coming to their hujra (guestroom).

Police said they had registered a case and begun investigation.
