DADU: A local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was found in a critical condition with fatal bullet wounds at his home in Sahita locality in Mehar town, 64 kilometres from here, on Monday and later died on way to hospital.

Family members said that they found Dr Shafqat Hussain Sahito, 45, bleeding profusely from the wounds in his back. They were taking him to Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro, when he breathed his last, they said.

Police have lodged a case about the mysterious death and started investigation.

PTI Sindh vice president Sadaqat Ali Jatoi and local party leader Abbas Mahesar along with activists reached their late colleague’s house after hearing news about his death.

Talking to reporters, Mr Jatoi demanded police investigate the death of the PTI leader and immediately arrest the culprits.
