TOBA T EK SINGH: A boy who was allegedly caught while stealing from a roadside hotel was tortured to death by the hotel owner and a gunman of a petrol station nearby.

According to a first information report registered by Gojra City police, complainant Muhammad Rafique of Izafi Abadi, Chak 353-JB stated that his son Muhammad Ashraf worked at the hotel located on Gojra-Dijkot road. When he demanded his salary, hotel owner Muhammad Nadeem beat him up him, while gunman Zulfiqar Ali of an under-construction petrol station tied him to a charpoy and tortured him as a result of which he became unconscious.

All fled from the scene leaving Ashraf there, who later succumbed to his injuries. Gojra City police arrested Nadeem and were conducting raids to arrest Ali.
