LAHORE: The ruling Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz seems to be in a fighting mood if one goes by the tweets of the prime minister`s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
`Wo mard nahi jo dar jaye` (He who gets frightened doesn`t qualify to be a man), says one of her tweets on Sunday, which earned ire of many, who see misogyny in its wording.
The tweet comes a day before the joint investigation team (JIT) appointed by the Supreme Court to probe money laundering and corruption allegations against the ruling Sharif family, is going to submit its report to the apex court in the famous Panama Leaks case.
The tweet shows thePML-N resolve that it will fight tooth and nail in case of a negative JIT report and the party won`t give in easily.
In an earlier tweet, she warned political rivals of the N League`s expertise in politicking, saying: `If you have turned it into a political battle no one can fight it better than PML-N.
The tweets don`t go without getting response from the ruling party opponents on the social media.
` ..mard woh hai jo jeddah bhaag jae...(Man is he who flees to Jeddah,` says one Jeelu on a social media forum, referring to the exile of the Sharifs.
One Touheed recalled on Twitter: `10 saal ka moahida ker kay Saudia bhagnay ki harkat bhi `dar` say sarzad hol` (The act of striking a 10-year deal to flee to Saudi Arab was also committed out of `fear`).
