PAF C-130 catches fire

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) transport aircraft C-130 caught fire after it made an emergency landing at Nur Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi on Friday.

The aircraft caught fire due to technical problems as it touched down at the airbase.

All nine crew members on board the routine flight remained safe.

The fire was controlled by Rescue 1122 firefighters.

A PAF spokesperson said the C-130 was on a routine training mission and made an emergency landing at the PAF base.

He said a board of inquiry has been ordered by the Air Headquarters to ascertain the cause of the accident.
