Three die, 11 injured as bus overturns

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three passengers died and 11 others injured when a mini-bus overturned near Satiana Bangla on Jaranwala Road, Faisalabad, on Monday.
Rescue 1122 officials said the mini-bus going from Mianchannu to Jaranwala overturned while overtaking a tractor-trolley, resulting in death of two men and woman.
The deceased were identified as Qasim Tufail (50), Akbar Amanat (35) and Fatima Arshad (40).
The officials said that 11 critically-wounded persons were shifted to Satiana Rural Health Centre. In another incident, a youth died and another injured after a speeding car rammed into a tree along Risaliyawala Roadnear government poly-technique institute.
As per Rescue 1122, the deceased youth was identified as Hamza (22), and the injured driver as Noman (25), who was shifted to the Allied Hospital.
In Mianchannu, Khanewal district a biker, Saleem (35) died after his bike was hit by a truck near Nadra centre.
INJURED: Two murder suspects were seriously wounded in the firing by their opponents outside Tehsil Courts Complex at Samundri, Faisalabad, on Monday.
Police said Abdullah and his cousin Ibad Ali, both residents of Chak 44 GB, Tirkhani, were going tehsil courts to appear before an additional district and sessions judge for hearing of a murder case registered against them.
When they reached on the main gate of Tehsil Courts Complex, their rivals Ashfaq, Ramzan and Ghulam Nabi allegedly opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, the cousins were critically injured and were rushed to Samundri THQ hospital.
Samundri city police claim that the attackers had been arrested and firearms use in the attack recovered from them.
KILLED: A mentally-challenged man attacked and killed a railways employee at Faisalabad on Monday.
As per police, Ghulam Rasool, a mentally-challenged man, was entering a railway godown when an employee Farooq, tried to stop him. This annoyed Ghulam Rasool, who hit Farooq with a brick. As a result, Farooq suffered a critical head injury and died on the spot.
